Jade Eco Park
Yr 3 Architecture Design
This studio course delved into the depths of complex techno-environmental projects and critically examine their architectural precedents. Students were tasked with researching one project from a curated list and presenting their findings in a comprehensive visual report, featuring drawings, models, and accompanying text. The course culminated in a student-led adaptation of the chosen project, set in a future context that urgently addresses the pressing issue of climatic problems.
Waiting: Transit Nodes
Yr 4 Architecture Dissertation
This dissertation examines waiting for public transport, with a focus on pre-departure environments and the potential for waiting to be viewed as "incipient rich durations." Using David Bissell's framework of embodied activity and engagement, I investigate how transport infrastructure design can shape waiting environments. Through case studies, I showcase architectural solutions that challenge standardized typologies and offer creative engagement during waiting.
